We are sailing through the new year! The kids are really excelling and making great growth. I am proud of all of them!

Project G Parent Math Workshop: Tomorrow, Tues. Feb. 9, we are very pleased to have Mr. Sung our district Project G coordinator giving our Allen parents a special training in Project G to help their kids at home. Space is still available for you to attend if you are interested. There are two sessions available. Just show up at 9:00 or 3:00 in our MPR! Can't wait to see your smiling faces!

Student Card Fundraiser: Back by popular demand, the students will be making and creating their own cards for you or a family member to purchase.  A variety of cards can be made. Birthday, thank-you, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, Hello, etc.  When the artwork is ready, you can purchase cards through our school. Information coming come today! Permission slips due tomorrow.

Social Studies:

Kids are to be gathering information on their famous American hero that they are researching for their biography report.  2 pieces of info. are due by this Thursday.  Information can come from the internet, a library book, an encyclopedia, etc.

Science:

Kids are beginning to work on their animal habitat dioramas. Thank you for sending their supplies in!

Valentine's Day Party: This Wednesday is our Secret Pal lunch exchange. Your child's secret pal lunch wish list came home last Thursday in their agendas.  If you have not seen it, please let me know asap. Lunches, valentines and whatever goodies your kids want to bring in are due on Wednesday!

Math Trimester 2 Test! This Wednesday, students will be taking their Trimester 2 district benchmark! This test will cover Chapters 11, 12, 20, 27, 28, 29, lesson 30.1, 21, 22, 23. Monday and Tuesday's math homework will be a review of these past lessons. Please have your kids review each of the specific lessons in their Project G journals and math book!
