Garden Grove Unified School District Names New Public Information Officer

Garden Grove Unified School District is pleased to welcome Amy Stevens as their new public information officer.

Stevens comes to GGUSD with nearly seven years of experience in education public relations, having most recently served as the public information officer at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA. She holds a B.A. in Technical and Professional Writing and one in Psychology from San Francisco State University and an M.A. in Communications from California State University, Fullerton. 

Included in her role as public information officer, Stevens will serve as the main point of contact for media inquiries, produce district publications, manage internal and external communications with students, parents, teachers, and employees, initiate and execute a social media plan, and write and edit content on the district’s website. Working with Superintendent Gabriela Mafi, Ed.D., Stevens will also support the implementation of a district-wide strategic plan and will advise administrators on local, state, and nationwide education trends.
