The Department of 7-12 Instruction is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating implementation of all aspects of the instructional program for secondary schools. Specifically, this includes the development of all course outlines through the consult process, textbook selection, planning and implementing the professional development program, instructional meetings for principals and assistant principals, articulation with department chairs and guidance counselors, support for schools, assistance in completing the WASC/PQR process, new teacher training and instructional aide training. In addition, the Department of 7-12 Instruction offers guidance and support for individual school site instructional projects.
