Dear Barker Families,
It is the middle of August and school related TV advertisements are a plenty. That can only mean one thing, we are about to begin a brand new school year at Barker. We are extremely excited and ready! We have been preparing for the 2009/10 school year since last spring. One of the greatest things about education is that we are awarded new beginnings and opportunities to establish new goals that will help us to continue with the high expectations for our students. On September 10th our doors will open and the new school year will commence with strong plans and high hopes for continued outstanding success for all of our students.
We want to welcome back all of our Barker Lions and to extend a heart felt welcome to our newest Lions, Kindergartners and new enrollees. We will have an opportunity to meet and greet everyone at our Back to School Ice Cream Social on September 10th at 2:50 (12:20 for Kindergarten students and families). Please join us for a great time of seeing old friends and meeting new acquaintances. It is always a great way to begin the year.
I am thrilled to share with you the awesome and incredible news that Barker exceeded our Academic Performance goal by surpassing the 900 mark. Congratulations to our students, teachers, support staff, and families! Way to go Lions!
