Accelerated Reader

Carrillo students have been using Accelerated Reader since November 2000. Accelerated Reader is a software based management program that helps students to focus attention on careful reading of books, which improves students’ critical-thinking skills and builds the intrinsic love of reading. Students have also been using other Renaissance Learning products including Accelerated Math, Star Reading and Math, and Perfect Copy. You can learn more about these products by visting Renaissance Learning's web site.

Periodically, we will post the titles of AR quizzes we have in our system. This will enable you to help your child select books at home or at the store which are appropriate for their level.
