              Principal: Wayne Kelley

Hello, and welcome to our web page. My name is Wayne Kelley and I am the principal at Evans Elementary School. I am very excited to be back at Evans Elementary School for my seventh year as the principal. For those families new to Evans School, this is my 15th school year as an elementary school administrator all with Garden Grove Unified School District. For those visitors to our web site who are "surfing the net", let me tell you a little bit about our school.

Evans School has 20 classrooms serving 535 students from kindergarten to sixth grade. Our school has a very diverse population of students where 11 languages are spoken at our school. Our two prominent languages spoken at Evans School (other than English) are Spanish and Vietnamese. Of the 535 students who attend our school 50% have a Hispanic heritage and 25% have a Vietnamese heritage. With such a diverse population of students, it is amazing at how well they all get along on a daily basis. All cultures are positively embraced at our school.

Our teaching staff has many years of teaching experience. Our newest teacher has 6 years of teaching experience while our most senior teacher has been in public education for 37 years. I am happy to say that all of our teachers work very hard each and every day to provide a quality educational program for all students. Overall, Evans School is a great place to learn with very supportive parents, great students, and outstanding teachers. I hope you enjoy visiting our webpage.
