Garden Park Elementary School
students were recently introduced to an American artist who lived during the Industrial Revolution. Charles Sheeler lived from 1885-1965 and recorded much of the changed landscape that took place during the Industrial Revolution. During the schoolwide assembly, our Art Master's instructor shared some of Mr. Sheeler's photographs and paintings. Often times these creations focused on the things Charles believed to be of great importance. These images, built on mulitple layers of shapes and colors, were the inspiration that drove our students to create industrial landscapes of their very own.
Pictured below you will find a small sample of the many artistic landscape creations our Garden Park students created modeling after the Industrial Revolutionary artist, Charles Sheeler. |
