Garden Park Elementary School students were recently introduced to an American pop artist named Roy Lichtenstein.  He was an artist who based his work on popular culture (i.e. comic books and popular advertizing).  This type of art work has been referred to as POP art.  Roy Fox Lichtenstein filled many of his paintings with brilliant designs and colors based on commercial and comic immages.  Our students were exposed to the wide variety of bold and exciting designs created by Mr. Lichtenstein.  Utilizing construction paper and glue, every student was given the opportunity to create a delicious Ice Cream Sunday.

Each of these amazing bowls of dessert displayed on this page have been created by our superb student population.
