On July 4, 2010, Schools First FCU of Garden Grove held a Hot Dog Fundraiser in their parking lot. They raised over $300 for classroom supplies. Early in September, employees of the Garden Grove branch visited Garden Park Elementary School to present a $309.73 check for classroom supplies. During the winter of 2007, Orange County experienced strong winds. These strong winds whipped through our campus and destroyed two of our full grown Coral trees. With the fundraising power of our Student Body, Garden Park Elementary School was able to purchase three fifty-five gallon Willow trees. One of these trees was planted in the courtyard and the other two in the snack area. In the years to come, these Willow trees will provide shade for our students and homes for the birds who live in the community.
