Garden Park Elementary School
students were recently introduced to the famous 19th century French artist, Georges Seurat. He lived from December 2, 1989 to March 29, 1891. Georges Seurat was known for his use of color. During the schoolwide assembly, our Art Master's instructor shared some of Georges Seurat's 19th century artwork. These art pieces inspired many of the beutiful landscapes displayed below. In their classrooms, our students used a special sandpaper technique to mimic Seurat's technique of dividing colors into their primary counterparts and applying them in dots.
Pictured below you will find a small sample of the many landscapes our Garden Park student artists created when they applied this sandpaper technique. |
