      Freedom     

is like hooves on a cow

And claws for a bird

It belongs on you all the way.

Freedom is like a bird’s sweet song

Singing to you all day.

Freedom reminds people

Of their ancestors.

It helps people feel better

About themselves because

They know their ancestors

Were real heroes in the past.

Harriet Tubman,

Rosa Parks,

And Dr. Martin Luther King…

They all risked their lives for our freedom.

Freedom is hooves on a cow

And claws for a bird.

It belongs on you all the way.
