Welcome to Irvine Intermediate School’s website. Our goal is to provide you with some useful and important information about our school and some resources that you can use as you work with your child on their school success. On our school website, there are links that can help you with understanding how your child is doing in school as well as websites to help both you and your child with homework and other projects. We hope that you will explore and use these resources.

At Irvine, we are committed to maintaining high academic expectations and to providing support for our students in meeting these expectations. Our goal is to prepare all of our students to have the best possible options for their futures when they graduate from high school . It is important for us to keep college open as a choice for our students, and we know that many things must be in place for a student to have this option when they graduate. They must have the academic skills, study habits, and ability to think critically that will allow them to be successful in their A-G (college preparatory) classes in high school and in the level of work that they will find in college. Toward this end, our teachers work together to plan lessons that support our students in developing the reading, writing, thinking, and organizational skills that they need to be successful in all subject areas. We also plan for many different elective and after-school activities that will help students develop the skills and relationships that will help them feel connected to school and provide many ways for them to be experience success.

We know that students’ success comes from hard work on everyone’s part – students, parents, teachers, and other school staff – and we hope that you will let us know if we can assist you in the part that you play. We take our roles in your child’s education very seriously and are proud to be Irvine Hawks!
