Hello everyone,
Welcome to an exciting and fulfilling school year! Our guidance program includes many services available to our students and parents. Some of the programs include educational planning, responsive services to meet specific needs, the guidance curriculum focusing on graduation, testing and college entrance requirements, as well as career and vocational information.
We cover a wide range of services such as pre-enrollment orientation, registration and scheduling of classes, interpretation of achievement data, and progress and grade reporting. Through the career program students learn about high school graduation and College A-G requirements. They will also have the opportunity through our Bridges Career Program to investigate and complete research in various career fields.
We will also be hosting a district-sponsored College Information Night and invite all to attend. Information regarding any special event such as this one is sent or mailed home as well as notification through our tele-parent phone service.
We invite you to visit or call our guidance office for any assistance that you may need. We also encourage students to share and communicate their issues or concerns with our school staff. We sincerely believe that this will be a most successful year through an effective and combined effort of parents, teachers and staff members working together to educate and assist all of our students.
We wish you the very best in this 2009/10 school year!
Cordially,
Mrs. Carolyn Watson
