Welcome to Newhope Elementary!  We are proud to have a team of staff members dedicated to providing high quality learning experiences for all students.  We nurture an environment that is student-centered, focusing on providing the support necessary to meet the unique needs of each and every child.  At Newhope, we celebrate effort as well as success because we know that true effort results in excellence.

This year we will be monitoring each child and providing support as necessary to help each child move toward, achieve and excel at grade level standards.  We have special programs in the subjects of Reading, Writing, Math and English Language Development.  Intervention programs will be provided for those students who need extra support.  We are also encouraging character development in each student by focusing on one character trait per month.  The character trait we are focusing on will be posted on the marquee located at the front of our school.

Our belief at Newhope is that students have unique needs and we support those needs in the areas of academics as well as character development.  We strive for excellence as a staff, and we encourage this not only for our students, but for our families and the community as well.  We know that effective education is a result of positive partnerships between parents, students, community members and staff.  This partnership is built on a strong foundation of commitment to student achievement and personal growth.  Parents set the tone for their children’s education by instilling the basic understanding that education and learning are important.  We thank you, our parents, for the positive influence you have on our students’ overall academic success!
