Playground News:
1. Installation of the new primary equipment is now complete! This year's project goal will be to raise funds for the kindergarten playground.
2. We are no longer recycling mixed paper (colored paper and magazines), ink jet and laser printer cartridges, and cell phones. Please bring ink jet , laser cartridges, and cell phones to our periodic free e-waste events. Free E-waste Events will be held October 17 and 18, in Patton's parking lot, from 9am to 4pm (Rain or Shine).
3. Patton's aluminum can and plastic bottle recycling program will now be implemented by the Patton Ambassadors, formally known as Patton Student Council. Comprised of selected upper grade students, Patton Ambassadors will be taking charge and directly helping their environment, school, and fellow students!!! They will be recycling aluminum cans and plastic bottles obtained only on campus - recyclables from home will not be accepted at this time, but will be determined at a later date.
For those who have been saving aluminum cans and plastic bottles over the summer, keep up the GREAT work!!! At the numerous recyclable redemption centers throughout our community, your recyclables can be turned into cash to donate to the Patton Ambassadors, the PTA, another organization of your choice, or to save for a rainy day. Thank you for contributing your recyclables in the past, and we hope to continue to help and preserve our environment for our children today and for their future.
