Principal’s Message

Welcome back! It is Patton’s 50th anniversary (1961-2011). To commemorate this

milestone, activities are planned throughout the year.

I would like to congratulate the staff and students on the newest academic

success achieved through the CST assessments that took place last spring. You will

be proud to know that Patton’s Academic Performance Index (API) increased by

12 points to 942. This score is truly commendable and indicative of the value

placed on educating our students at Patton.

Patton has a long tradition of providing a rigorous, standards-based curriculum

with high expectations for all students. The staff attends a variety of professional

development workshops throughout the year to refine their teaching skills. Our

entire community of students is strongly committed to ensuring the success of every

      child attending our school.

Families play a vital role in the educational success of their children. We are

fortunate to have strong parental support at Patton. Parents volunteer in classrooms

on a regular basis as well as for special events and activities. They encourage our students

by making education a priority. Our PTA supports the school by providing activities,

assemblies and fieldtrips that enrich our educational program. I hope all of you will consider

being part of this strong parent support team.

Our students, parents and staff all work together to make Patton an environment that

emphasizes academic success. Together we will accomplish much in the year ahead!

   Sincerely,

   Linda Chrystal
