GGUSD Launches Helpline to Support Students and Families during COVID-19
This week, Garden Grove Unified School District launched a helpline to provide families and students with another layer of support during the current COVID-19 health crisis. The helpline phone number is 714-598-6366 and is staffed by a friendly GGUSD employee from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
"We want our community to know that we are here to support them through the pandemic and distance learning environment,” said Board of Education Vice President Teri Rocco. “GGUSD employees are very passionate about helping families overcome the challenges and obstacles of distance learning and we want our community to reach out with any and all questions.”
In addition to the helpline, GGUSD encourages parents and students to visit its COVID Resources webpage, https://ggusd.us/covidresources, which is packed full of information in three categories – academics, wellness, and community-based resources. The webpage is designed to be a one-stop-shop to support at-home learning for the district’s more than 41,000 students and their families.

Esta semana, el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Garden Grove lanzó una línea telefónica de asistencia para proporcionarles a las familias y alumnos otro nivel de apoyo durante la crisis de salud actual por el COVID-19. 8:00 a.m. a 5:00 p.m., de lunes a viernes.
“Queremos que nuestra comunidad sepa que estamos aquí para apoyarla durante la pandemia y con el entorno del aprendizaje a distancia”, dijo Teri Rocco, vicepresidenta de la Mesa Directiva de Educación. “A los empleados del GGUSD les apasiona ayudar a las familias a superar los retos y obstáculos del aprendizaje a distancia y queremos que nuestra comunidad nos comunique cualquier pregunta que tenga”.
Además de la línea telefónica de asistencia, el GGUSD alienta a los padres de familia y los alumnos a que visiten la página web que tiene recursos relacionados con el COVID en https://ggusd.us/covidresources, la cual está llena de información y abarca tres categorías: lo académico, el bienestar y los recursos comunitarios. La página web está diseñada para ser integral y así apoyar el aprendizaje en casa de los más de 41,000 alumnos y familias del Distrito.
GGUSD Mở Đường Dây Hỗ Trợ Học Sinh và Gia Đình trong Thời Gian Có Nạn Dịch COVID-19
Tuần này, Khu Học Chính Garden Grove đã mở đường dây trợ giúp để hỗ trợ thêm cho các học sinh và gia đình trong giai đoạn khó khăn về y tế COVID-19 hiện nay. Quý vị có thể gọi vào số 714-598-6366 từ 8 giờ sáng đến 5 giờ chiều, thứ Hai đến thứ Sáu. Một nhân viên của GGUSD sẽ ân cần tiếp chuyện với quý vị qua đường dây trợ giúp này.
Bà Teri Rocco, Phó Chủ Tịch Hội Đồng Giáo Dục cho biết: “Chúng tôi muốn các gia đình trong học khu biết rằng chúng tôi sẵn sàng hỗ trợ quý vị trong thời gian học ở nhà vì đại dịch. Các nhân viên của GGUSD luôn nhiệt tình giúp đỡ các gia đình vượt qua những khó khăn và trở ngại của việc học ở nhà, và chúng tôi mong quý vị hãy liên lạc với học khu nếu có bất cứ thắc mắc nào.”

Trang mạng này được thành lập với mục đích là nơi tập trung các nguồn hỗ trợ về mọi mặt cho việc học ở nhà của hơn 41,000 học sinh và gia đình trong học khu.
