GGUSD to Host Parent Preview for AP Music Theory Textbook Adoptions

New AP Music Theory textbooks recommended for adoption and purchase by the Garden Grove Unified School District will be on public display from Monday March 1^st through Friday April 16^th (preview will not be available during the week of Spring Break from March 29^th-April 2^nd). These new materials are for High School AP Music Theory.

Textbooks may be previewed by appointment only weekdays from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. in the main lobby of the Garden Grove Unified School District Education Center located on 10331 Stanford Ave., Garden Grove. The Board of Education is scheduled to consider adoption of the recommended instructional materials at its April 20th board meeting for introduction beginning next school year.

All materials on display are recommended for the Board of Education adoption after a parent review period and following extensive evaluation by teachers, GGUSD staff, and school district administrators. Materials are evaluated based on accuracy, organization of content, and alignment with the state’s academic content standards. Evaluators also examined the integration of technology and the presence of clear and definite strategies for working with diverse student populations.
