Children born between September 2, 2020 and December 1, 2021 are eligible to enroll in preschool for the 2024-2025 school year.

  • State Preschool

Our Free State Preschool Program is offered at Clinton Corner Family Campus and 10 elementary school campuses across the district and offers morning and afternoon sessions for income-qualifying families. In the state preschool program, students enjoy 3 hours per day (morning or afternoon sessions) of engaged learning with highly-qualified teachers. Our focus on early literacy coupled with interactive play in a caring environment prepares students for kindergarten. To learn more, call 714-663-6298 or visit https://ccfc.ggusd.us. Spanish Dual Immersion Preschool

GGUSD offers a Spanish Dual Immersion Preschool Program at Russell Elementary Language Academy! The program is free and designed especially for families interested in a Spanish dual immersion experience. Preschool sessions are 3 hours, offered in both the morning and afternoon. The program includes:

  • Small class sizes (1 teacher or aide per 8 students)
  • Caring teachers and staff provide a nurturing learning environment
  • Focus on TK/K readiness skills
  • Priority enrollment into Russell Elementary Language Academy for transitional kindergarten.

Families interested in enrolling their children can contact Clinton Corner Family Campus at (714) 663-6298 or the Russell Elementary Language Academy at (714) 663-6151. Our dual language academies have been widely successful with students demonstrating impressive academic and personal growth due to the benefits of learning academic content in two languages.

Transitional Kindergarten

GGUSD is one of only a few districts in Orange County offering free full-day Transitional Kindergarten to children who are four years old or will turn four by September 1, 2024.  Children born between 09/02/2019 and 09/01/2020 are eligible to enroll in GGUSD’s outstanding TK program.  TK is the first year of a two-year Kindergarten program and features a modified curriculum with lessons that are age and developmentally appropriate. Participation in TK is voluntary; however, the district strongly encourages the enrollment of all eligible children because an additional year of learning will provide a stronger foundation for building academic success in school. Click here for more information about forms needed for TK enrollment.

Kindergarten

For the 2024-2025 school year, a child who turns 5 by September 1, 2024 (birth date between September 2, 2018 and September 1, 2019) must enroll in Kindergarten. Parents with questions may call 714-663-6333. Parents should pre-enroll online as early as possible at https://enroll.ggusd.us and contact their child’s home school for further assistance.
