Beautified Campus Adds New Pride to Simmons Elementary

• Friday, November 6, 2026

Simmons Elementary School’s campus received a colorful transformation on October 23, when more than 60 volunteers from the Safran Cabin Give & Grow organization came together to create brighter, more welcoming spaces for students to learn, play and connect.

The transformation included playful dolphin murals in the kindergarten yard, six ocean-themed murals on the handball courts, five new benches, refreshed playground and basketball court areas, and two new pickleball courts. Simmons students and staff are already enjoying their revitalized campus.

“The students are delighted to play in their new, colorful playgrounds,” said Principal Tanya M. DeLeon, Ed.D. “The entire campus has been transformed with vibrant murals, new playground equipment and seating options. Our community is thankful and energized by this special day of beautification and empowerment.”

The project continues Give & Grow’s longstanding partnership with Garden Grove Unified School District. The organization has previously completed campus beautification projects at Excelsior Elementary in 2022, Cook Elementary in 2018 and Murdy Elementary in 2015.

Founded by Safran Cabin employees in Southern California in 2007, Give & Grow supports schools and children through volunteer-led improvement projects. The foundation has completed more than 20 school projects, and this was its second project in 2026.

“We are honored to be back in California this year!” said Nathan Kwok, Safran Cabin Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and President of Give & Grow. “Every year, our employees look forward to Give & Grow Day because it gives us the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the communities where we live and work. We hope these improvements bring joy to students and staff for many years to come.”

Safran Cabin designs, certifies, manufactures and supports aircraft cabin interiors, equipment and systems for airlines and original equipment manufacturers.
