All seven of Garden Grove Unified School District’s (GGUSD) comprehensive high schools earned high rankings on the prestigious 2026-27 America’s Best High Schools list published today by U.S. News & World Report.
GGUSD high schools ranked in the top 20% nationally among 18,000 high schools.
GGUSD’s highest ranked school, La Quinta High School ranked #30 in the Los Angeles metro area, #75 in California and #512 nationally. Additionally, Bolsa Grande, Garden Grove, La Quinta, and Pacifica high schools ranked in the top 10% in the state among the 2,747 high schools ranked in California.
“This national recognition reflects the extraordinary commitment of our teachers and staff to preparing every student for success in college, career and beyond,” said Board of Education President Bob Harden. “The continued recognition of our high schools affirms the strength of our academic programs, the quality of instruction across our district and the outstanding opportunities available to GGUSD students.”
U.S. News and World Report analyzes the data of more than 27,000 public high schools across the country and awards a national rank to nearly 18,000 public high schools. The ranking reflects measurements on state math and reading exams, college readiness including Advanced Placement success, underserved student performance, and graduation rates.
