All seven of Garden Grove Unified School District’s (GGUSD) comprehensive high schools earned a spot on the U.S. News and World Report's elite rankings of America's Best High Schools in 2019.

GGUSD’s highest ranked high school, La Quinta High School ranked #54 in California, and #415 in national rankings. All GGUSD high schools scored higher than 75% of the high schools ranked both statewide and across the nation.

U.S. News and World Report analyzes the data of more than 23,000 public high schools across the country and awards a national rank to the top 17,000 public high schools. The ranking reflects measurements on state math and reading exams, college readiness including Advanced Placement success, underserved student performance, and graduation rates.

“This prestigious recognition is a reflection of our commitment to excellence,” said Lan Nguyen, Board of Education president.  “We are proud to provide our community with outstanding award-winning high schools that are preparing students for college and career success.”
