GGUSD Celebrates 60 Years of Excellence with Community-Wide Anniversary Fest

Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) proudly invites current and former students, staff, families, and community members to its 60th Anniversary Celebration Festival on Friday, May 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bolsa Stadium. This milestone event will bring the GGUSD community together to honor six decades of educational excellence and enjoy a festive family-friendly event filled with entertainment and student showcases.
Designed as a celebration for all ages, attendees will have the opportunity to reconnect with classmates, colleagues, and neighbors while enjoying a wide range of activities and attractions.
Event highlights include:
- Performances showcasing students’ musical and artistic skills
- A variety of food trucks offering diverse dining options
- Interactive games, toy demonstrations, face painting and fun activities for children
- A mini car show featuring classic and unique vehicles along with police and fire vehicles
- A “History Walk” highlighting 60 years of GGUSD milestones and memories
- Live music from a DJ throughout the event with a mascot dance-off
- CTE Career Pathway Student Showcases
- Alumni Association booths to reconnect with fellow graduates
- Photo stations to capture special moments
- Exciting prizes and giveaways donated by community partners and local businesses
“This celebration is an opportunity to reflect on the incredible legacy of Garden Grove Unified School District and the people who have shaped it,” said Board of Education Trustee Teri Rocco, a proud GGUSD graduate and former district employee. “We are proud of our history and excited to bring our community together to celebrate the past, present, and future of GGUSD.”
The district encourages all community members to attend and be part of this special occasion. Whether you are a longtime supporter, a recent graduate, or a current student, the 60th Anniversary Festival promises something for everyone.
