Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) launched a social media campaign celebrating its college-bound seniors in alignment with national College Signing Day.  GGUSD is posting the #GGUSDCollegeBound senior selfies on its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, and the district website at www.ggusd.us/collegeboundin2020.

“We want our high school seniors to know that getting accepted into college is a huge accomplishment and we are extremely proud of them,” said Walter Muneton, Board of Education president. “While our schools cannot host their traditional College Signing Day events with balloons, cake, and selfie stations, we hope our seniors feel celebrated from afar.”

Garden Grove Unified School District is a leader in college readiness, consistently outperforming the state, as well as the county last year, in the number of students meeting rigorous college entrance requirements qualifying students to attend UC or CSU schools.

For the third year in a row, all seven of GGUSD’s comprehensive high schools were named to U.S. News and World Report’s elite rankings of America’s Best High Schools.

GGUSD students, parents, and community members are encouraged to post their photos on social media and engage with GGUSD’s social media campaign using #GGUSDCollegeBound.
