GGUSD Earns High Rankings on CA School Dashboard

Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) earned high-rankings on the 2023 California School Dashboard, the state’s school performance and accountability system.

The California Dashboard displays five color-coded performance levels with GGUSD ranking green, a high-level ranking in five categories, including English Language Arts and Mathematics scores, English Learner Progress, graduation rates and college and career readiness.

GGUSD grew 0.4 in its English Language Arts scores maintaining its green ranking from last year and grew 5.7 points in math scores moving from yellow last year to green this year. Among GGUSD’s English Learner students, 55.3% are making progress towards English language proficiency which also moved from yellow last year to green this year.

GGUSD’s graduation rates at 92.7% showed improvement from last year and 57.1% of GGUSD students were ranked prepared on the college and career readiness indicator.

 “GGUSD’s outstanding academic outcomes are a testament to our exceptional teachers and staff who remain committed to equip all students with the academic and personal skills for lifelong success,” said Board of Education President Teri Rocco. “We know that the instructional excellence carried out in the classroom results in students who are prepared and ready for a bright future.”
