GGUSD High Schools Ranked Among America’s Best

For the fifth consecutive year, all seven of Garden Grove Unified School District’s (GGUSD) comprehensive high schools earned high rankings in the elite list of America’s Best High Schools published by U.S. News & World Report.

On the 2022 list of America’s Best High Schools, GGUSD’s high schools ranked in the top 591 in California, top 254 in the Los Angeles metro area, and top 3,960 nationally from nearly 18,000 ranked schools.  All GGUSD schools ranked in the top 22% nationally.

Four GGUSD schools ranked in the top 250 in California, including:

  • La Quinta, #58 in CA, #22 in LA Metro, and #439 nationally
  • Pacifica, #185 in CA, #85 in LA Metro, and #1,255 nationally
  • Garden Grove, #195 in CA, #90 in LA Metro, and #1,344 nationally
  • Bolsa, #214 in CA, #98 in LA Metro, and #1,507 nationally

“GGUSD schools continue to maintain an exceptional record for academic excellence,” said Board of Education Trustee Teri Rocco.  “This accolade reflects our amazing teachers and staff who prepare high school students for success and our extremely dedicated and motivated students.”

U.S. News and World Report analyzes the data of more than 24,000 public high schools across the country and awards a national rank to nearly than 18,000 public high schools. The ranking reflects measurements on state assessments, college readiness including Advanced Placement success, college curriculum breadth, and underserved student performance.
